National Cadet Corps (NCC)

NCC  training is provided to all able-bodied students of this college. It aims at instilling in the students a spirit of discipline and a willingness to serve the country in war and peace. There are men and women units of the NCC, functioning in the college. They are Kerala battalion NCC boys wing(3) and Kerala battalion NCC girls wing (1) Besides the regular parades, adventure activities like cycle expedition, trekking etc.. are also undertaken. Certificates are awarded to cadets who attend various training camps, which include national integration camp, military attachment camp, basic leadership camp and annual trining camp.

1 26/8/2017 Swatch Bharath Abhiyan-Essay writing As a part of Swatch Bharath Abhiyan an Essay writing competition for NCC cadets was conducted on 26/8/2017. Subject; “What can I do for a clean India”. Number of participants was 20. Out of them three were selected and sent to NCC Head Quarter Kollam.

Our Guru

Sree Narayana Guru, one of the greatest revolutionary social reformers Kerala has ever produced, was born on August 20, 1856, in a humble cottage in Chempazhanthy, a village near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, as the son of Madan Asan and Kutty Amma. Madan Asan was a farmer as well as a teacher, with proficiency in Sanskrit, Astrology and Ayurveda, and his son, the little Nanu grew up listening to his narrations of the stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharatha to the local residents of the village.
